“It is a great privilege to be able to attend the yoga classes held by Marietjie Venter (in a class room environment until recently and now via Zoom). She has taught us the true meaning of Yoga, the yoking (fusion) of body and mind. The power of the yoga breath and mindfulness. The benefit of each posture (asana) physically and mentally. Her knowledge is phenomenal. Her workshops and talks inspiring.

Yoga has changed my life and helped me to cope better with life’s ups and downs. Regularly practising Yoga keeps the body supple and the mind balanced. That is my experience.

“I would like to share my experiences in regards to yoga.

It has given me strength in life, when I was going through challenging times. It helped me to have a clear perspective on what is actually going on. With the breathing exercises it helps me to turn inwards and then to become much more relaxed and have a feeling of being in balance. At the same time the breathing exercises improve my general health.

The yoga exercises have improved my back in a big way. Upon starting with yoga I was at the physiotherapist every 3 months with severe back pain. After 1 year of yoga I did not have to go to the physiotherapist at all.

The workshops I have done with Marietjie have helped me to learn about life and myself. As we are very much influenced by everything going on around us without realizing it.

Being in a group in regards to yoga we energetically support each other when it is needed. Thanks for giving me a chance to share this.”
